Great Choice for a Cell Phone Holder

I decided to try out this cellphone stand because, like many people today, I am frequently on my phone reading, texting, checking emails, or just trying to stay on top of my busy job. While I wish I could honestly say just being on my phone less is an option, I’d be lying to myself and to you. So, I figured a phone stand could make it easier to use my phone when I am at my desk without slouching over it or at home when I am multi-tasking. I tested it out both at home and at work, although I found it more practical to use at work where I can just place the device next to my computer and leave my phone there until I have need of it.

My first impression of this phone stand was that it was surprisingly sturdy. It is made of a strong metal that does not appear likely to warp or break easily. In fact, in my own natural clumsiness, I dropped it on the first day I had it and I did not notice any issues with it as a result. It has three white rubber pads to lean your phone against and to help keep it on the stand. When I put my phone on it, it stays steady unless I knock it around too much or tip over the device. I did admittedly do that once, but it was not the fault of the phone stand. I just knocked my phone off it because I wasn’t used to the slight extra height when I was using it.

Another nice touch is that the added height and the gaps in the metal make it easy to charge my phone while  it is on the cell phone holder. The charge cord can come right up through the base to attach to my phone as my charging port is on the bottom of my phone. If your charging port is on the side, you could still charge your phone although the placement might be a bit different. My phone is a Samsung Galaxy S6, but I tried several other devices including my Ipod Touch, my Samsung tablet, and my Kindle and the device was able to comfortably hold them. I was also able to easily use the devices while they were on the stand without knocking them off once I got used to using it.

My only real complaint is that the base is a bit bulky if you have a really limited space. However, even a standard desk should have room for this. Overall, I would give this a happy 5 out of 5 stars as it serves exactly the purpose I wanted it for and does it very well.
