I joke with my youngest son about him being my little yeti boy. That child is the hairiest kid I have ever seen. He definitely inherited his father's body hair and if he is anything like his dad, he is going to hate it as he gets older. I can't tell you how many times my ex had me help him shed the winter fur, as he put it. I absolutely despised it and definitely could have used something like this to save me from the shedding process.
I have no clue why I picked this up. My kids are barely old enough to shave their facial hair (my youngest being blonde, you can't even see it) and they do not yet have body hair they want to be rid of. And my husband is not overly hairy, so he won't be using it. But I found it amusing and thought why not.
The shaver is long and is fully capable of reaching far back over your shoulder and on to your back. My thinking is I would be afraid to use it on my body. Reaching behind me with sharp objects that could easily cut my skin would be a bit nerve wracking to me. But luckily I am not using it, so don't have to worry about it myself. It folds in half for easy storage, fitting perfectly in to the bag that came with it. There are also three packs of double edged razors included, which I am sure my husband and my boys can use in their safety razors for the time being until someone decides to try shaving their back. The entire thing opens with three screws that you unscrew and remove to open the housing that holds the razors. You only use one side of the razors at a time, so when those get dull you simply open it up, turn them around, and screw it back together again for more use.
Overall, this appears to be an easy to use shaving device. But it is not something that will get much use in my home. Maybe the ex might want to buy it off me? I am sure his wife would appreciate it!
