JTReviews Raiting: 5 out of 5 Stars!
The Mugig Distortion Guitar Effect Pedal, from now on in this review referred to as the Mugig HOT CHILLI is a True Bypass pedal, this means when the pedal is off the pedal will not have any side effects that may effect your tone.
The Mugig HOT CHILLI features 3 dials, a small switch, an LED and the stomp button. The three dials are Volume, Tone, and Gain. This pedal is described as a British stacked sound effect to give a recreation of the 70's-80's classic sound. This is not a heavy distortion pedal for heavy metal. The dials are easy to turn and offers the perfect amount of resistance so it is not changed by accident. They do not make any click sound when changed nor do they have any positions to click into. They just easily sweep as you change the settings. In the middle of the three dials there is an Blue frosted LED so you know it is activated. Towards the top is a small switch that has Bright on top and Normal on the bottom. This is a nice addition as it allows for you to have a cleaner setting at the flick of a switch. Below the knobs you will find the stomp button to turn it on. The stomp button itself features a nice click and is easy to turn on and off. It has a loud and obvious tactile feeling that it has been pressed. The case is an awesome red speckled anodized aluminium. It is both sturdy and strong but surprisingly light and appears to have very good build quality. On the bottom there are 4 rubber feet. Also included in the box is a perfectly cut piece of hook and loop sticker that is exactly cut for the pedal and to go around the rubber feet.
It is powered by a 9V DC connection port on the right side. Look into the Mugig 9v Power Station to power it.
