chose this charger for the 'Test' feature.
And it does work, once you understand the readings.
Although it gives 12% higher capacity readings than another charger I have, so I take the readings as a guide only but still very useful if you have a bunch of older rechargeables and want to decide which ones to despatch to the recycler.
The readout of each slot has 4 digits but the first will only show '1' so 1999 is the highest it can read in 4 digits.
-So, if you test a 2900 mAh cell and the charger measures a capacity of 2500 mAh, it will display 2.50 Ah.
This confused me at first but I get it now since I noticed the different unit of measurement (eg. Amps not Milliamps).
The charger takes both AA and AAA cells and can perform functions on each slot independantly. That is, one could charge an AAA cell in slot 1, test an AA cell in slot 2, Discharge another in 3 and Refresh one in slot 4.
But there's no backlight, animations or audible alarms to alert when a cycle has completed.
It comes with a plug-in power adapter which has a 1 Metre lead to the charger.
