My Scout Mom Earrings!!!

  I am a Scout mom of two Boy Scouts. The fluer de lis is the symbol of Boy Scouts, so it permeates all aspects of our lives, including our clothing, hats, bags, and now my jewelry. I saw these earrings and thought they would be a great pair to wear to show my support without them being dangly and getting in the way during Scouting events. I am not sure if I was supposed to get two sets in them or just one, but if it was only one, then BONUS win for me!   These are pierced earrings, not clip ons. They are small and are made of Rhodium plated solid 925 sterling silver and though I didn't check them since they are so little, they are supposed to be stamped with the 925 marking which indicates that they are sterling silver. They are nickel and lead free. They are supposed to be hypoallergenic guaranteed, which is part of why I got them since my ears are super sensitive to earrings that are not hypoallergenic. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to wear them too long before my ears started getting hot and hurting, which generally indicates they are not pure.   I tried soaking them in a chemical free jewelry cleaner and then cleaning them off and letting them dry before wearing them again, but my ears still had problems. I am very disappointed that I won't be able to wear them for very long at a time. I was hoping to be able to just leave them in the top holes on my ears (they are double pierced) and not have to worry about taking them out between events. But now I will have to treat them like nearly any other pair of earrings I have and remove them after each time I wear them.   I do want to say that I have purchased other earrings from this company that HAVE been fine with my ears, so I don't know if I just happened to get an impure set... And I didn't try the extra set that accidentally got included in my velvet pouch since I was waiting for my ears to heal up from the last time I wore them to be certain any irritation or reaction wasn't due to the 1st set  and I could truly evaluate the 2nd set I was trying.   Super cute earrings though and a great price.
