Little Missie turns 4 next month so I have been looking for birthday gifts for us to give her if we can have a party (who knows at this rate whether that will be possible with the new wave of lockdowns from Covid). I know how much she loves jewelry and dressing up and thought this might be a good idea for her. Any time she disappears I find her in one of two places - in my bedroom by my jewelry chest playing in my necklaces, bracelets, and rings or in my closet playing in my shoes. So I am always looking for good play jewelry for her that won't get destroyed. Unfortunately, I am not sure how well this will work for her. They are super cute and the beads are larger than some children's jewelry sets, but the elastic is super stretchy and thin, so I fear she would break it very easily and then we'd have a choking hazard for her and the pets as beads spill everywhere. I am unsure if I should give them to her now or wait another year or two and then let her have them. There is no age recommendation on the Amazon listing and I have since put them away in a cabinet to hide while I decide, so am not sure if the packaging includes age recommendations. They are cute, though. They are bright and vibrant in color and the beads are all smooth and shiny, no rough edges or pieces that will catch on anything. They reminded me of jewelry I had when I was younger. But I still think she may be a bit too young to use these. I do like them and they are cute, but I don't think they would be good for a four year old. Maybe a 6 or 7 year old, but not a 4 year old.
