We have a beanie fetish, in our home, I fear. We can't seem to pass up a good beanie. And when I saw this beanie, I knew I had to add it to the collection. We have a bazillion beanies in our home and my boys wear them every chance they get. I make a lot of beanies, but there is nothing better than the beanies I have been getting from online vendors. I love the quality of the beanies I have been seeing and jump at the chance to pick up another when I see new ones. Both of my boys love wearing beanies and hats, so we are constantly getting more and more. But this is one I wanted for ME.
This beanie is hand stitched well and looks amazing. I absolutely love the knitted stitch on it and thicker style. I couldn’t find any flaws in it, no unraveling or snagged stitches, and it looks to be well made. It cannot be worn slouchy, which is how I love wearing them, but I got it for the chunky look not how it fits on your head. The beanies that I make are typically more slouchy and stretch out, but this one doesn't seem like it will stretch out at all and is well made! I absolutely LOVE the furry lining on the inside. It is nice and warm, super soft and snuggly, and feels amazing when on. It is probably too warm to wear in our area, since it doesn't get that cold here, but we do go camping and hiking a lot, so I know I will be wearing it on the various outings to colder climates. And the pom pom fuzzy puff ball on top adds personality and style to it that my other beanies don't have. I love that! It looks more high class and cultured than the more boring, plain styles I have been using. I just wish the pom was a lot fuller. It is a bit flat right now after shipping and I keep shaking and fluffing it to make it look fuller, but am not having luck.
I do think this is going to be a great beanie but the weather is just beginning to change here so I doubt I will get much use out of it before next winter. We don’t have to worry too much about wet and cold, but I do think this will work wonderfully for keeping the head warm on chilly days. It is a great beanie and I am loving it.
