So this year we finally installed a wildlife cam outside. Why? Something has been stealing our cats food. Our cat is so fussy, he likes to eat outside but due to his age he can't eat a full tin. He eats it in bits throughout the day. Recently we noticed that when there is food on the plate, in the morning the plate is empty. Our cat is inside sleeping at night so what is eating the cat food? :) Myself and my children guessed it may be a wild fox that comes to vist and eat but we was wrong! It is a hedgehog!
We purchased the AKASO 14MP trail camera which is very easy to use. It takes batteries which are housed internally. Setting it up was so easy to do. It is capable of taking pictures, videos or both.
It took a few nights but finally we got evidence of the hedgehog coming into our garden via tiny hole in the fence, running along the path in the garden and eating the contents of the plate. The wildlife camera captured the visit.
My children are very excited and the first thing they want to do on a morning is check the camera to see if he/she visited during the night.
AKASO are offering a whopping 20% off at the moment which makes this wildlife camera a bargain price. https://www.amazon.co.uk/AKASO-Camera-Hunting-Waterproof-Recording/dp/B07DC54BQ5
