A Great design for a solar pump, but needs direct sunlight

This pump is so powerful that I'm having difficulty setting the solar panel in the right position so that the water isn't pumped OUT of the birdbath. I have to keep checking the water level throughout the day. It really pumps the water and the pump is as described. It comes with different fountain heads. So far the birds have not used the birdbath but I think in time, they will get used to it. It's easy to set up and works the second the sun hits the solar panel. Once I figure out how to set it up so the water stays in the birdbath I think I will be very happy with it.

Works beautifully, however, water evaporates more quickly in the birdbath than without the fountain so need to fill birdbath 3 times a day. Also, really need the fountain to work at night when mosquitoes are more active which this fountain does not. If you want a fountain to work past 5 PM, you need to find another type of fountain. This tiny thing works okay but only when the sun is shining directly onto the little solar panel. If even the lightest of clouds or a bird's shadow goes over it stops.
