works exactly as I expected it to, and even better for the price. My 2-year-old loves playing with his brothers drum but his brother doesn't like sharing. He is going to have quite the surprise for Christmas this year. He is going to have so much fun with these and make his own little music playing with them. i hope they last for years and continue for years to come. I don't expect them to sound just like drums but i do expect them to have a bunch of pre-installed sounds that play every time he hits the air or something else. My son just absolutely loves music so picking this was a great choice in my book.
