Works okay, but i need control

I don't drink a lot of coffee, mainly because when I want it as I get up in the morning it is super early and I know the smell of coffee would wake the kiddos before I am ready. So instead I have my coffee while I am getting kids ready for school and out the door, which means many times my coffee ends up cold by the time I get back home. I picked up this mug warmer in hopes of helping to keep my coffee warm while I run them to school and get home to feed the toddler. It is simple in design - a warming plate that plugs in with a wall outlet pronged plug and "smart" designs in the methods used for controlling the heating mechanisms. The plate is weight sensitive and turns the heating mechanism on. I was unable to figure out how to adjust settings, but did see it turned on when my coffee was placed on it. But it wasn't warm enough for me. I prefer my coffee warmer than the temperature it was set on and had no clue how to adjust it up from there. But it did a decent job. I am thinking I may try it as a warming plate for a candle and see if it releases the scent and melts the wax without having an open flame.... It is an okay mug warmer, but not the greatest.
